Today, I want to blog about baking. It is a topic that most girls my age love, and I hoped to include recipes that you would all like. Enjoy this sweet mix of muffins and a very healthy fruit fusion.
Firstly, I will show you how to make a fruit fusion.

You will need:
A large container, holding at least 1.5 litres
At least five types of fruit (canned fruit is suitable)
Knives for cutting the fruit
100-250ml of juice, any flavour

Method:
1. Chop your fruit into small bite-sized pieces.
2. Put it all into the container and pour the juice on top, making sure you cover all the fruit.
3. Refrigerate it for 1-5 hours.
4. Serve with or without juice.
5. Enjoy!

This fruit fusion takes 20 minutes, looks amazing and is super healthy. Best served without juice and in the morning.
Now, I will show you my favourite recipe for muffins. They can be altered in many ways and look superb atop a cake stand.
It makes 12 small muffins but can be doubled or tripled to make a larger quantity.

You will need:
2 Mixing bowls
A spatula
At least three mixing spoons
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar (either white, brown or caster can be used)
1 cup plain flour
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons oil (vegetable, sunflower or olive oil is fine)
Muffin cases
A baking tray

Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
2. In one mixing bowl, soak the oats in the milk for 10 – 15 minutes.
3. Whilst the oats are soaking, mix the egg and the oil together until frothy.
4. Add the mixes together and stir.
5. Fold in the flour and the sugar (you might want to sieve the flour as it prevents lumps).
6. Add the baking powder .
7. Stir!
8. Line your baking tray with muffin cases (I used one with built-in holes but any tray is okay).
9. Spoon the mixture into the muffin cases. Fill them 2/3 to the top; the baking powder will make them rise!
10. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until you can put a skewer in the centre without getting any muffin out with it. they should be golden brown.
11. Take the muffins out and leave to cool for at least ten minutes.
Enjoy!

These are both pretty healthy recipes, and the muffins can be altered (you could use extra sugar and chocolate chips for an sweet batch or add raisins, apricots and chopped apple for a breakfast version).
